Saigon ’60s was name after Ho Chi Minh city (a.k.a Saigon) back in the 1960s.
Saigon in the ’60s was the capital of American colonisation, vivid and culturally well-blended with international flavours. Taking the inspiration from that retro vibe, we have named our restaurant “Saigon ’60s” with the vision to cook not only the most authentic Vietnamese foods for Kiwis, but to also unique fusion dishes that can satisfy any conservative guest, who is taking baby step into our dynamic cuisine. From our starting point in Rotorua in 2018, and now having our newest restaurant in the heart of Hamilton CBD. Saigon ’60s is an eatery destination which should not be missed by locals and tourists.

Excellent authentic Vietnamese food. Run by a couple from Vietnam. All staff are Vietnamese. I was surprised they could make food that matches what I grew up with.

We had the beef pho and BBQ pork on rice and both were very flavourful and delicious. Good portion size. Salad with BBQ pork was well dressed. Both dishes had good amount of meat. Overall fantastic value for your money.

We love saigon 60s! Whenever we cant decide what to eat we just come here cos we no whatever we get we will be satisfied and full by the time we leave My fav is the special pho with roast duck!!! If ur in Rotorua give it a try

I was in Rotorua for 6 days, and i have eaten her 3 times. If that does not show how much i loved their food i don’t know what will. I had their bahn mi, sunmer rolls, pho and stir fry which are all amazing. The service is high quality and quick service with the food. All three times i have been i did not have to wait for my food for long. If i ever go back to nz i diffently have to go to rotorua for this. It’s definitely worth a visit

Hands down the BEST Vietnamese food I have found in NZ…. And so lucky to have it right here in Rotorua. Highly recommend their pork or duck pho, or the seafood noodle soup (pictured below). So good!

So so yummy! I had the lemongrass pho with beef and it was so flavourful! My mum had the classic chicken pho, she also said the broth on its own was amazing!! Great customer service too!
